Our vision

Our vision is to foster a community where all individuals, regardless of their circumstances, have access to fresh, nutritious, and healthy food in a process that respects their dignity. This allows them to realize their full potential in their community.

01

Our mission

The FoodUpCycling Engagement Centre strives to enhance the well-being of underprivileged communities by ensuring equitable access to food through partnerships, education, and direct delivery.

02

Our values

Our dedication to understanding and empathy drives us to uphold dignity, inclusivity, empowerment, and integrity. By comprehending the diverse challenges within our community, we deliver discreet, fostering autonomy and integrity while upholding high ethical standards.

About us

Who we are ?

Every person in life wants to feel respected, appreciated and valued. This is inherent to human dignity, as it boosts self-esteem, self-love, self-worth, and pushes people to go above and beyond their capacities and give their best-selves.

Inalienable access to food

Having access to food, under any circumstances, should not hinder that natural human asset.

Nourishing dignity, without discrimination

At the FoodUpcycling Engagement Centre, we believe that access to fresh food should not deepen social discrimination, and prevent those who are vulnerable to enjoy good health, their dignity, and live their full potential.

Community collaboration

Our approach is based on the belief that collective efforts can lead to sustainable change. By fostering community collaboration, we not only distribute food but also build networks of support that enhance social resilience and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Values that define us

Understanding & Empathy

We get in their shoes and empathize with vulnerable individuals in our community. By understanding their unique challenges and circumstances, we strive to provide support and assistance to those in need.

01

Dignity

We are committed to upholding the dignity of every individual we serve. By delivering fresh food directly to their home in a discreet manner, we aim to preserve their sense of pride and self-worth, ensuring that they receive assistance without giving up on their dignity.

02

Inclusivity

Inclusivity is a fundamental value that guides our efforts to support a diverse range of individuals, including the elderly, international students facing precarious conditions, single parents, and disabled or people with limited mobility. We recognize the importance of inclusivity in addressing various needs of our community, and strive to ensure our services are accessible to all.

03

Empowerment

We believe in empowering individuals to overcome adversity and improve their quality of life, by themselves. Through the provision of fresh food and essential support services, we aim to empower our beneficiaries to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives, ultimately enabling them to regain a sense of control and autonomy.

04

Integrity

Integrity is at the core of everything we do. We are dedicated to operating with honesty, transparency, and accountability in all our interactions and activities. We uphold the highest ethical standards to ensure the trust and confidence of our donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries.

05

Sustainability is a key value at the FoodUpCycling Engagement Centre. We commit to environmentally friendly practices in sourcing and distributing food, ensuring our operations benefit both current beneficiaries and future generations by safeguarding resources and promoting long-term community vitality.
